Why Did You Become a Dentist?

From a young age, Dr. Braga was very interested in blending science and his skills at manual dexterity with the goal of healing. The dental field combines all of these talents and passions into a unified career that suits him very well.

Where Did You Study Dentistry?

Dr. Braga completed his Bachelor of Arts in Biology and French at Boston University in 1989, graduating Magna cum Laude. He then attended the Harvard School of Dental Medicine, where he achieved his Doctor of Dental Medicine (graduating Magnum cum Laude), his Master of Medical Sciences, and his C.A.G.S in Periodontology in succession.

Dr. Braga has been a true opinion leader and expert in the field of laser-mediated periodontology since the early 2000’s. He teaches monthly as an instructor at the Institute for Advanced Laser Dentistry in Cerritos and has also lectures internationally on Laser Assisted New Attachment and associated technologies. He is a current member of the American Academy of Periodontology and highly experienced in the use of Nd:YAG, Diode, and Carbon Dioxide medical lasers. Dr. Baga is also a fellow of the Institute for Advanced Laser Dentistry. In addition to his dental expertise, Dr. Baga is highly specialized in the field of implant dentistry.

Outside of the Dental Office, What Do You Like to Do?

Whenever he has free time, Dr. Braga travels to far flung places, keeps ups with politics, cooks, and explores information technology. He’s also passionate about home improvement. He’s been working on an early 20 th century home since 2002, doing everything from demolition to painting while also living there. His goal is to eventually alter it completely to Art Deco 1920.
